The developers of Semblance describe it as the “first real platformer,” and they kind of have a point. Most platformers just require a character to move through a fixed space, but Semblance requires you to reshape and form the platforms themselves as if they were made of Play Doh. If you can't reach an area you need to get to, you might slip under a platform and jump upwards, creating a mound. Head back onto the platform and leap from the new hill in its centre to launch higher into the air and reach your destination.

There’s a story too; this soft, malleable world has become infected by hardness, so you must bump, nudge and squish your way through it to stop the spread.
